Why India?
India is rapidly fostering the country’s transformation through its “digital India program”. Digital key enabling technologies play a prominent role in this by addressing societal challenges and empowering the Indian society and knowledge economy.
The Indian government as well as the private sector stakeholders and knowledge institutes have shown keen interest in co-creating and piloting new digital solutions with partners from the Netherlands to address societal challenges on water, agriculture & food and health. The combination of the country’s scale, its IT prowess, talent and expertise and the societal challenges offers Dutch entrepreneurs and researchers opportunities to rapidly scale their innovative products and solutions.
Why the Netherlands?
We are committed to international collaboration and proud to use digital key enabling technologies that serve the interests of people and society. The Dutch government, together with companies and knowledge institutes, founded the AI Coalition in 2019 to opt for a people's approach to AI, putting people first. For example, with our E-health solutions with the highest adoption rate in hospitals and clinics worldwide.
What next?
This virtual mission to India is the first in a series of two. The intention is to take forward the discussion on digital key enabling technologies for shared societal challenges between the two nations. Thematic areas of existing collaborations can be deepened as well as new additional themes can be explored for future collaboration.
